UB Started trialling Eventbrite in July 2021.

As attendance at UB events has grown, the Steering Committee identified the following issues that Eventbrite could help with:

  • Registrations for parties has risen dramatically

  • The expectations of members have increased

  • The need to simplify and automate the party and workshop registration process

  • Online payment & refund system

  • Automated emails, tickets & refund management

  • Detailed database management

  • COVID Restrictions and the ability to Scan tickets entering the event

After the trial period, the UB Steering Committee will assist party organisers in running events through the Eventbrite portal.

It is accepted that the Eventbrite handling fee will be incorporated into the ticket price. Members will not be charged any handling fees.

Events Cancelled - Eventbrite

When the decision is made by the organiser to cancel an event, tickets will automatically be refunded by Eventbrite.

You will receive two emails:

  • Email #1 - from the organiser explaining the situation with the event

  • Email #2 - from Eventbrite telling you that your Order #xxxxxx has been cancelled.

The refund will then be issued and the process will take 3-7 days to reach your bank account.

Click “Contact the Organiser” if you don’t see the option to request a refund or you have a question about the status of your refund request.

IMPORTANT: UB covers the Eventbrite handling fee. If you request a refund the handling fee will not be refunded.

  • Refunds for some events are available prior to the event taking place, use the Eventbrite link on your ticket to request this.

  • Refunds are not available after the event has taken place.

No Shows at Events

The Eventbrite system allows us to monitor ticket sales with the people scanned in at each event, giving us the "no shows". This data is useful in managing the Waiting List of people for sold out events.
